BOSTON, MA — November 11th, 2025 — Silk Technologies today announced the appointment of Jim McInerny as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales. McInerny, a seasoned enterprise technology leader, brings decades of experience driving hypergrowth at highly successful companies such as EMC, Turbonomic, BitSight, and most recently Blink.
McInerny’s appointment comes as Silk continues to scale rapidly, following the recent additions of Ed Filippine and Damon Miller, both of whom bring deep expertise and proven leadership to Silk’s executive team. Together, these appointments underscore Silk’s commitment to building a world-class foundation to accelerate its next phase of growth.
At Silk, McInerny will lead global sales strategy and execution with a focus on accelerating customer acquisition. At BitSight, the global leader in cybersecurity ratings, McInerny was instrumental in driving sustained customer adoption and revenue expansion globally. Prior to that, he held sales leadership roles at Turbonomic — acquired by IBM — where he joined pre-revenue and helped propel the company to dominance in application resource management.
“Jim’s leadership, industry expertise, and history of delivering sales excellence on a global scale make him an outstanding addition to Silk’s leadership team,” said Ed Filippine, President of Silk. “He’s joining at a time of tremendous momentum and his experience scaling world-class sales teams will fast-track our growth.”
“I’m thrilled to join Silk at such a transformative moment,” said McInerny. “Silk’s technology delivers the performance, efficiency, and agility enterprises need to unlock the full potential of their data. To drive global expansion — alongside this proven team — is a timely opportunity with a clear path to success.”
With McInerny, Filippine, and Miller now in place, Silk’s leadership team is positioned to accelerate growth worldwide and solidify its leadership position.
